That was good, but that was a soft layup compared to the kid that changed the molecular structure of Koch Arena circa 2004 (?) ..Nick Grant maybe? I think DUB witnessed it.....I still feel it.

I know the play you're talking about, although I've never seen it. It was Nick Grant.

Leonard Houston in the photo. Easy to get them confused....they were both at Drake at about the same time (I think they were 1 year apart), both 6-3 guards, both very athletic, and both left-handed.

For MSU I've got a couple of really recent but maybe pretty obvious moments from this past year.

1. The last moment of the Bears win over WSU last year that clinched the regular season MVC title. I was there and it just doesn't get any better than that.
2. Kyle Weems game winning 3 point (contested) jumper that beat UNI on the road in our MVC road opener last year.

I know there have been others over that long a timeframe but those are the 2 that come immediately to mind.

1) Bears S16 run in 99

2) Kyle's 3 against UNI, Leonard's 3 against WSU, Weems' layup/Mallet's steal against Creighton in 2011/ 1st MVC regular season title in 2011

3) The 20 point 2nd half comeback against SIU in the Valley Tournament in 2005

4) Font's dunk against Mizzou in 99

5) Win against #7 Wisconsin in 2006

Who had that solid dunk in the MVC tournament in March 2010. I think it was between Bradley and Creighton. It made SportsCenter's top 10 I believe.

2009 Booker T. Woodfox (sorry Shock)

Ah, yes, the Woodfox miracle. The man was able to fumble the inbounds pass, recover the ball, dribble twice, and get a shot off all in the space of 1.9 seconds. Proof that prayer can make time stand still.
