Very cool that it was on ESPN. Good coverage too. It's on youtube for anyone that missed it:

Just a side note though regarding the locker rooms: The Bears midnight madness tomorrow will be at beautiful JQH. I'm pretty sure we didn't have to "rent it out" for the festivities. I'll take that perk over our locker rooms being located a few yards away any day.

I'm not taking anything away from CU though. Great exposure for them and the MVC.

Hubert still doesn't like Creighton's schedule.

It looked like a Creighton undergrad filmed it with an IPhone, just felt like ESPN really dropped the ball. Side note why was midnight madness at a highschool gym?

Jealous much? ESPN called us....

Few things funnier than a team with perennial lower attendance than ours takes a swipe at our attendance.

Don't you play FB in what is essentially a high school stadium?

I said nothing about the attendance, was simply asking why you weren't in the century link center. Sure, I would have loved for it to be the bears but I don't blame Creighton for the pathetic display that is all on ESPN. As for our facilities JQH has locker rooms ive been in them sure the visitors have to walk 100 yards but the bears are 35 foot from the court. Plaster while it might be old is dtill one of the better stadiums for FCS in the country. Keep your rented arena, I will take fans that are there for the game not the brews.

I thought it was a blatant attempt by Davis to promote his annual agenda against the mids; you could tell he caught Bardo off guard initially with how much he pressed the issue of the schedule. Too bad he was he was allowed to derail at least some of the positive pub with his little rant, true or not.

I think it's really poor thought process when Valley fans try to diss the facilities other member schools have over issues like shared facilities[ Quest ,Hammons Field,], size[ McLeod ] etc. One of the things that seperates the Valley from many of the other non BCS conferences is the quality of our facilities, and it is something we should always be promoting not finding fault with.

As far as the locker room issue at JQH, as has been noted numerous times, the locker rooms are great, just not all in JQH proper , but JQH and HSC are a connected total facility. Spin it how you want, but the combination of a 9000+ and 11,000+ arena with the Turner practice facility also in HSC gives the Bears tremedous flexibility for scheduling athletic events/ practices for multiple teams including camps for recruiting purposes. There are a number of excellent venues in the Valley, but our on-campus combination of HSC/JQH serves MSU quite nicely.

When ESPN actually calls MSU about broadcasting you Madness event, your concerns would be more founded. Until then, you pithy comments appear to be nothing more than envy.

Maybe you guys should stick to C-USA envy.

Overreact much?? I didn't see anything pointed at Creighton in the initial posts, just a question about location and a gripe about the quality of the ESPN coverage. But if you fire shots you have to expect volley.

I'd say that the phrase "high school gym" was pointed and intended to flame. If he was honestly curious about the venue, he could have simply asked, "why wasn't the event held at the Qwest/CenturyLink".

I dunno, DJA.....I looked back at his post, and I just don't see anything that looked like a flame toward CU.
