I'm not overly concerned with Carmichael getting votes for player of the year because personally I don't think it would happen, however, I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility for him to make 1st team if he has a good season (POY no, but 1st team, maybe). Same goes for Brown. Other than that, I think the list is pretty good.

I really think Carmichael is going to play with a chip on his shoulders this year. Might turn some heads with his play this season. No lingering injury this season and has shown much more aggression around the hoop.

I don't buy into the whole "It's Weems until someone takes it away" concept. It is a new year, different team make ups and chemestry is involved. IMHO I felt it was a toss up between McDermott and Weems last year. I just think McDermott is on the better and more stable team this year. And like it or not that tends to play into who wins the award. I think McDermott is the best player on this years' best team. So he takes the crown in my book.

When was the last time a player won back-to-back POY's? Darren Brooks, maybe? I can't recall.

The homer in me would lean towards Stutz but he hasn't proven anything yet, so I went with Dougie.

I think Antoine Young is going to have a big senior year for CU and take ther prize.

I voted for Weems. But, if Douggie Fresh wins this, is he in line for it in his Junior and Senior seasons? Could he be the first three time winner? I don't know enough MVC history to know.

If he continues on this pace and wins this year, could be in line for 1st or 2nd team all americans potentially in his junior and senior seasons.
