Looks like ISUb got a healthy dose of home cooking shooting 36 foulshots to 12 for the visitors. That's a huge difference in a 7 pt ball game. Odum with a full stat sheet but not all good, 3/8 fg, 0/3 treys , 3 stls, 7 assists but 7 turnovers. But like we say, just win baby.

Glad we didn't get a cup-cake like I thought EIU would be. Let me say this much, if EIU plays with that level of intensity they will not finish 9th in the OVC. The Sycamores shot that many from the stripe cuzz EIU was in our shorts all night, we could shot more - no homer on that either.

I aint mad about the game, first game and EIU shoots bleeping lights out in the first half 46% get outta here. They couldn't miss - first 5 min. of the second half they had 7 turnovers, that's the Panthers I know. 16 Point spread was a little much - we aint talking about a final 4 team here with the Sycamores. Final 4 in the Valley and that's about it... lol We good, but we aint 16 better than EIU.

Odum played high tempo game tonight, really forced some things at time. The 7 turnovers were very uncharacteristic - if the rest of the Valley watches this video they will know to be VERY physical with Odum. EIU did that and it got him frustrated a little bit. He almost got T'd up in the second half after slamming the ball on the floor. Lansing put him on the bench. lol

And this was arguably one of the weakest opponents on their already so-so non-con..

The 7 TO's by the Holy One are a lot against such an inferior opponent.

It wasn't pretty but it was a win. I don't worry too much about how close it was. It was the first game of the year so of course its gonna take some time to get back into game form. I mean hell, Duke only beat Belmont by 1 last night so I don't put much on the score of these games this early in the year.

Don't know how you can compare the Belmont score considering Belmont is actually good.
