Doesn't Missouri lose like, everyone but the young Pressey?

They also have Dixon back and Bowers returns after sitting out the whole year with an injury.

How solid do you expect UNI to be? (Not a flame, but a serious question)

UNI was decent this year, but finished pretty far behind the two leaders. Moran and one highly touted recruit are gone. Do you think they will compete for a league title? I haven't studied it closely yet, but I would have figured UNI at about 4th next year...

I expect us to finish in the top three and get back to the tournament.

We only lose only one player from a team that tied for 3rd this year and Lyle was not a highly touted recruit. This has already been discussed, but he carried the lowest ranking out of all six freshman and was not going to see much, if any, playing time next season.

It's taken UNI a couple seasons to recover from a couple freak recruiting misfortunes, but I expect us to be back to full strength next year.

Everybody finished "pretty far behind the two leaders". What bearing does that have with next year anyhow?

UNI returns everybody, and adds a couple important pieces as well. UNI will be experienced and very deep. And Jevon Lyle was not a "highly touted recruit", I don't know where you got that idea, the kid was practically a walk-on.

I expect to compete near the top of the league, and to compete for an NCAA tournament bid.

You think the MVC will get three bids next year? I hope that's true.

Relax and slow your roll. I specifically said I wasn't trying to flame and hadn't looked at who was coming back that carefully yet. The bearing that last year's results have, however, is that one of those two leaders returns all but a single player as well.

I guess I listened to you when you said he may be the next Anthony James. :D

He very well could have been the next Anthony James, they are similar players. Anthony James was by no means a highly touted recruit either.

That said, there just wasn't going to be room for him to see much PT the next couple years. Couple that with the fact that he had a few minor infractions during his first year at UNI, it was probably best for both parties to move on.

I hope we get three bids as well. But saying the 3rd place team could get a bid doesn't mean the 2nd place team, or even the 1st place team for that matter, will. I know that, in at least UNI's case, we got at-large bids in the mid-2000's finishing mid-pack of the MVC, while teams that finished ahead of us did not.

Its about your resume, and UNI has set itself up really nicely with a great non-conf schedule next year.

Champ,

I haven't heard anyone from UNI comment here about the recent loss of another assistant. What impact do you guys expect there to be as a result?

(we can leave for another day whether this is just the latest byproduct of UNI's financial situation)
