Doug staying or going all depends on which NBA team is looking for a new coach next year. :D  :bounce:  :buddies:

Is the decision for the team made before or after the NCAA's start?
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

I think barring a major injury McDermott will play in the NBA at some point. He seems like a grounded kid (what little I know about him) - but he's still a kid. The lure of the NBA might be too much before his 4 years are up.

I think it would not be in his best interest to go pro after this year. I just don't think he's ready. Yet.

I'm willing to bet that he's a 4 year guy do to his situation, strengths and weaknesses.

Don't worry about this issue.

His Dad and the scouts will know, when he is ready.

He will be drafted by Chicago, sign with Chicago, but then say he wants to play for the Lakers and the Bulls will say ya thats ok the Lakers can have him for nothing, become a star for the Lakers and the Bull fans will get all pissed off and boo him when he plays in Chicago.

Different game..completely.

Larry Bird type players are nothing more than role players these days. Very very few guys at that size play below the room with average, at best, foot speed....

 :Bam:

You must not be old enough to remember Larry Bird in his prime. Hell, forget his prime. He averaged 20.2 ppg/9.6 rpg/6.8 apg during his FINAL season in the NBA (35 years old)..and he shot 40% from three.

Larry Bird-type players don't come around often and they surely wouldn't be a role player.

Crazy to see two players from CU being projected as draft picks. Not worried about McDermott leaving, GE will probably have enough credits to finish his degree by the end of this year. Hopefully he will stick around next year (haven't heard anything either way, just conjecture).
