The funny thing is that Drake has been ranked more recently than WSU, won a MVC regular season AND tournament title more recently, and played in the NCAAs more recently. And two of the last three years you've played on Thursday night too.

That is a funny thing. You could also substitute our "flagship representatives" of SIU and CU in for WSU and it would still be true. In fact, you could use 8 of the other 9 remaining Valley institutions in for that riddle and it would make sense. You really slammed the door there Panther fan. In essence, this just proves how bad our league has been the last 3 years. Be proud.

I think you were close there, baller, but you missed one point. If you substitute Creighton for WSU, you do not have two out of three Thursday nights. You have everything else, but not a Thursday night.
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

I should have eliminated that last sentence. You're right. My main point was with the the first few sentences. The Turgeon Fall Out period was a rough time indeed.

Wrong again. CU shared the title a couple of years ago. Don't let pesky facts gets in the way.

I noticed that every Valley team AND Tulsa have won a MVC tourney title since 1985 when Wichita last did. Can't blame Turgeon alone for a quarter century of being inept.

Those people must have some inside information that indicates WSU will play their second unit unit most of the year. The second unit would be:

Aaron Ellis, Gabe Blair, Ben Smith, David Kyles, and Demetric Williams. There's only one newcomer in that group and he's a physical 6'5" JuCo wing with a good track record of hitting 3's. That group might finish 3rd.

I mostly agree. It maybe DWill early and Rags as the season goes on. As far as Aaron Ellis he could lose time to several new comers unless he can step up his game. But the point is the same, who are you going to stop who are you going to key on? This team is at least 2-3 deep at evey position with quality players.

Games like this (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=290660156) somehow make people forget about Creighton's share of the title in 09.

That game certainly made the selection committee forget about CU's shared title.

Also, when you lose twice in the same tournament, that often has a negative affect as well.

Wrong. Evansville hasn't won a Valley tourney title. OOPS. And wrong again. WSU last won it in 1987. Don't let pesky facts get in the way.

Are you banging a CU student or something?

How long did it take for the mighty Panthers to finally win a tournament title?

UNI has played in 4 title games, winning three of them since the last time WSU even played in the game. And UNI wasn't even in the MVC during the first part of that time period. ;)

I was thinking in my head of two people that were gonna immediately respond to this. You were one of them.

That was quite a dazzling response, but you still didn't answer the question.

This quote doesn't make any sense. What's with this thread and Panther fans striking out?..
