This version of the Shox has a sometimes weakness of playing to the perceived level of the opponent. That's not likely to have a good result playing in Evansville.

If the Shox show the respect for the Aces that the Aces deserve and if the Shox bring their B game (or better) The Shox go to 5-0 and 16-1.

The Shox have been playing at their "C" level lately, so saying they can beat UE with their "B" game isn't disrespectful. The Shox quickness, speed, athleticism, and BB skills put them in a different level of D1 ball than UE. Comparing rpi's (20/99) indicates I'm not talking out of my A$$.

On paper, this is a double-digit roadie for the Shox. The Shox have a track record of never making things that easy against outclassed teams. Marshall needs to have them focused from the tip-off and not rely on coming back in the second half.

I never understood this....If a team plays poorly, is that what you say? Or do you give the other team credit? I know what most fans think, they say we played bad giving the other team zero credit or they will blame the refs. But in most cases that is not what happens. Sometimes there is a reason a team plays bad, it is because the other team.

I am a little surprised by Ace Dad as he always likes to say, the other team gets a say.

Anyway, UE by 5. I guess cause I think Wichita will play bad but it will not have anything to do with what UE is doing.

WSU has built up a season's worth of cred, even without 3 starters, to earn the right of being the better team. One game on the road against a team playing in their Super Bowl isn't going to change that fact. A team that is nationally ranked and 15-1 has to play poorly to lose to a team middling their way through the season. Add the fact that it is a road game and upsets happen.

Being a middling Valley team doesn't earn you the right to say you were better than a team, simply based on one game. I'm sure most Evansville fans will be screaming this if it happens. After all, it is their Super Bowl and it's been a while since they've beaten WSU.

If the loss happens, I would compare it to our 3OT road loss at Drake last year. Clearly, everybody knows who the better team was, even after that game. One team got hot, while the other played like a road team with a target on their back. You can't expect a perfect game and perfect season every time out.

In this case, Ace Dad is on the money.

I think WSU completely chokes in this game. As AceDad noted, they are way overdue for a bad game and UE is playing at home so it all aligns for a 15-pt. loss for the Shockers. Once again, it's the win every non-WSU fan celebrates but costs the Valley dearly come Selection Sunday.
