To be fair, WSU's final 4 run gave it the most successful season of any Valley team in the last 34 seasons.

And in 34 seasons from now, WSU's Final 4 run will still be talked about. Because that's what happens when you go to the Final Four. I'm sure we'll be talking about Evansville beating us twice at the same time, though. (Well, Evansville fans will be.)

and because of their run from 02-07 (even thought that is now ancient history) SIU is still the 3rd most recognizable name in the Valley nationwide. Only strengthening my argument that basketball is all that matters.
