It's got to be getting pretty tough for Redbirds fans to keep spinning what Muller is doing in a positive light. Right now it appears Muller is doing to IlSU what Lowery did to SIU.

You can say that Muller is bringing in a lot of talent. Lowery brought in a crapload of talent. SIU fans called one of his recruiting classes one of the top 15 in the nation. It's early in Muller's career, but he hasn't shown one iota of ability to do anything with talent. The number of defections under his leadership is starting to be alarming.

I think Muller has found a way to put himself on the hot seat pretty early in his tenure. His recruits better perform because he's really looking like a Jr. Hi coach trying to coach D1 ball.

Allen was stopped at 3:12 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of School and Willow streets and booked into McLean County Jail at 3:41 a.m. He was charged with possession of marijuana and delivery, driving on a suspended license and disregarding a stop sign.

Meh. I don't think most head coaches would have dismissed a player for that. Not if it was a first-strike. That's usually a three-strike situation, and even then it depends on the school.

Regardless of whether he should have been dismissed or not, though, I think it's taking a lot of spinning to make it sound like removing every single player that had been in your program last season is a good thing.

The Redbird fans on this board are a lot fonder of Muller than the handful I know in real life. Most of them think he's been an unmitigated disaster.

Muller's in it for the long haul. He's making the team his and it should be interesting.

Ask yourself this redbird fans. If last year at this time you would of been told Muller takes over ISU-R's most talented team in recent memory and finish 6th place in the valley and then in the following offseason EVERY key returning piece bolts or is kicked off the team. What would your opinion of what was going on?? I'd say most if not all would be very disappointed in Muller's start.

This is very sad. Well gotta move on and Zeisloft, Keane, Jones, and Stacho have to become leaders now. And now with the JUCO transfers, its going to be like the 2012 season with no seniors. The Birds are a year away still......

He's a real humble and nice guy, wanting the community to be a great place, and for his athletes to succeed in the classroom and the court.
