Where was the thread at a few days ago vs. the Commonwealth Giants?

Didnt think 1 game was enough to warrant a thread.

I heard this site was not helping our rep as a conference and I thought what??? Creighton is gone so who is left to be bringing it down. Seriously its ok to read something and not comment!

From Bradley's perspective, they played terribly at first and got progressively better over the four games. That's a good sign I guess. I do think the trip told them a few things about the team. Some good, some not-so-good.

The Good:
Walt Lemon is still a very good player. He led the team with 14.8 ppg on the trip

Tyshon Pickett is solid and has improved. Those two are a nice 1-2 punch

Sophomore transfer Omari Grier is a good offensive player. He didn't shoot well from the FIBA 3-pt line but he is a deep threat BU hasn't had. He isn't a complete player and needs to defend better and rebound better.

Freshman guard Stefan Zecevic was easily the biggest surprise. Mostly because people had no idea what to expect. He flies around. Is super aggressive and confident. He is also really athletic. He is NOT, however, a very good shooter. He is kinda the "anti stereotypical European" player. He rebounds well. Is always around the ball and plays with kind of an irrational confidence. Again, he's not like NOY material but he will be in the rotation.

As a team Bradley is a better rebounding team, more athletic, and tougher overall.

The Bad:
Overall Bradley still isn't a very good shooting team. They will be improved some but this will be an issue.

I think the coaching staff was a tad disappointed with the inside play of new guys (Chris Blake-JUCO, and Xzavier Taylor-Freshman). They were hoping to not have to play Jordan Prosser more than 20 minutes a game this year and, so far, no one has separated themselves.

Backup PG. Wake Forest transfer Anthony Fields has struggled. He hasn't been a game changer. Hopefully for Bradley's sake sophomore KaDarryl Bell can recover from injury and pick up where he left off the last 8-10 games last season.

I thought Bradley would finish between 4th and 6th this season and that will still probably be true.

Really? We are not looking for more than 20 mins out of out SR big and prolly starting 5 ...Prosser

Secevic: can shoot

Grier: Moves the ball well when he isnt shooting and rebounds way better than I thought he would!

Way to not mention the 7 footer Nate Wells

Yes the practices and growing togeather are 100 % the best thing about this tourney

as far as Taylor goes a true freshman never been out of the country I thought we got more out of him then could have been expected... tho the stats arent forsure correct but still.

If you think BU is finishing barring injuries worse than 3rd YOU ARE CRAZY

bring on the dancing Banana

Only dancing your going to be doing all year, so go ahead :D

Your not even the 2nd best team in the conference, maybe not even the third so why do you guys have such high expectations when you only have 2-3 good players?

When you say "you guys" don't your really mean Bradleyfan1? Lets not lump all fans together.

Bradleyfan1 has some enthusiasm...that's great but he is overestimating Bradley's players JUST a bit.

1. We have the best player in the MVC in Walt

2. Prosser and Picket make a pretty good frontline that is even if the 6 9' fresh and 7 ft soph give us nothing.

3. Geno Ford can straight coach!

4. Omari Grier

5. Ka Derryl Bell solid point fields, makes a nice back up.

6. SZ was Mr energy and knocked down some long ones.

7. extra practice!

There is more but ill stop!

I have to agree with tribe. You are enthusiastic for your team and players and that's a good thing. However, you have put too much stock into the Bahama's performance (which was mediocre at best) and you are totally ignoring the rest of the league.

Bradleyfan1 wrote:1. We have the best player in the MVC in Walt

An argument could be made for this, but he is WIDELY considered the third best player in the MVC prior to the season.
Bradleyfan1 wrote:2. Prosser and Picket make a pretty good frontline that is even if the 6 9' fresh and 7 ft soph give us nothing.

Pickett is good. Prosser is okay. The 6-9 freshman is a year away. The 7 footer is a long term project. Your frontline is mediocre only because the rest of the Valley is down. I would put BUs front line behind WSU, UNI, and Loyola.
Bradleyfan1 wrote:3. Geno Ford can straight coach!

Umm maybe. He won 7 conference games last year and less the year before.
Bradleyfan1 wrote:4. Omari Grier

Might be a top 10 wing guard in the Valley.
Bradleyfan1 wrote:5. Ka Derryl Bell solid point fields, makes a nice back up.

You have a back-up PG to a PG that can't score. Most people have back-up PGs. Fields might be a top 10 PG in the Valley.

I'm glad you have a nice freshman. Everyone will get more practice. You should probably stop.

The 7 footer will give you nothing.

SZ did not knock down some long ones.

I'm beginning to think this is a troll account as no Bradley fan is this ridiculous.
