I'm sure you haven't forgotten that little Saluki victory over Wichita St last season that cost you a share of an MVC title.

What the hell does that have to do with anything? You can have your cheap, horribly called goal-tended victory all day. I'll take a weekend in April in Atlanta over that.

I think Barry finds a way to keep the Salukis out of the cellar too. People don't seem to like them much. I would have thought Illinois State would have been the favorite for 10th.

Also "weekend in April in Atlanta" rox? Really? It was over by Saturday afternoon. It was the early game too. Great year and everything, don't get me wrong but it wasn't like you were playing on Monday night. Just saying.

I'd say either the Evansville loss on Senior Night or the Creighton loss in the final game actually holds the credit for costing us a share of an MVC title.

The SIU game showed that our perimeter game was so bad without most of our perimeter players that even SIU could play an effective zone that eliminated our offense. And the goal tending call

I'd hope to see you guys 7th. That'd be awesome. I'm rooting for SIU ... too many memories of your great teams earlier in the decade to think you'll stay down too long. Just hope the turnaround starts soon.

If I had that chance to have a "weekend" for my Panthers like that I would have made it a whole weekend regardless of the Saturday outcome and carried it over all summer as well. They have every right to keep celebrating that little weekend, at least until November when we start the process all over. Then the expectation will be that they make at least two weekends in March beyond St. Louis.

We may finally turn the corner in 2015. The lack of frontcourt depth is going to hurt us for a few years.

I'm going to go with Loyola because I don't think they are just going to step into a much more physical league like the Valley and compete. The players they are carrying over from last year are in for a shock. Everybody picked SIU to be the doormat but I can't imagine that program not improving with Hinson coaching. Hinson knows what it takes to be competitive in the Valley.

I picked SIU here. I like Barry as a MVC coach but I just don't think he has the players to compete this year. Inadequate post play will be the killer.
