All they have to do is finish above Missouri State, who have almost as many questions. But I would put MoSt ahead of them.

I don't think it will be. I think going into this whole thing that 1, 2 and 3 were all mostly agreed to by the posters here. 4 thru 7 or 8 is where all the interesting votes were possible.

I'm not saying UNI couldn't surprise a bit and finish ahead of ISU, but I'd be surprised if the preseason vote is all that close. My same thoughts are with WSU and ISU for first and second. ISU may have it in them to finish ahead of the Shox if things fall right for them or wrong for WSU, but I'd be surprised if the preseason vote on here is at all close. At least if most posters are honest about things.

It shouldn't be, Indiana State should be well ahead of UNI in pre-season thoughts with what they have returning. It is more a matter of the respect a lot of people have for Jacobson that UNI is not clumped into the mix with UE, MSU, BU based on what we lost last year.

Historically, the 4-5 game is often played by teams with identical conference records with a tie-breaker determining shirt color. MSU and BU look about even and it would not surprise me at all if they end up with the same record in conference. That these two schools jockeyed for these spots in this poll is not all that surprising.

I think there also pretty good history of one team picked in the top 3 ending up playing on Thursday or barely avoiding it and a Thursday team making a charge towards the top 3/4.
