I think voters, and most of us, are just completely clueless on how the bottom 4 are going to shake out. Guesses all the way around.

After watching Mo Valley basketball for about 45 year's I about can about guarantee you the surprises and final shake out will effect more than the bottom four. The parity in the conference remains competitive year in year out regardless of pre-season speculation. Makes it fun.

I definitely agree with this. But I think based on the information we have, most people can agree on the ordering of the Top 5, within a spot or 2, for a preseason prediction. After that there just seems to be a complete vacuum of information on which to make a reasonable prediction.

95% of posters =

WSU 1 or 2
Ind St 1, 2, or 3
UNI 2, 3, 4

MSU, Bradley 3, 4, 5 6.

Evansville is 4-7

The rest are 6-10 in random order.

I'm a little surprised that people regard Indiana State so much higher than UNI. Odum is good no question, but I really think UNI can make a run at a tourney bid.

Like the NCAA Tournament? Is that what you are talking about? I mean I have no doubt that UNI will be in some postseason tournament. I was thinking CIT or if things broke the right way the NIT.

I love the optimism that everybody has this week. I really do. It's how baseball fans feel during spring training. It's not impossible that UNI makes the big dance I suppose, but I would suggest that most people who feel strongly about it are consuming the purple and gold koolaid. Do they make gold koolaid even?

Can you explain to us why this is so surprising to you? Preferably without your purple and gold glasses on.

Yeah but it has a slight ammonia smell to it though.

Since winning 6 games in a row (and 2 titles) UNI is 0-3 in St. Louis. This year, they also don't have anyone as good as Kujo, Adam or Jordan. I would expect the run to continue.

Agreed that we don't have anyone as good as Kwadzo or Kock, but Tuttle is much better than Jordan was. Jordan was big, but he was slow, uncoordinated, and generally not very skilled.

We'll play Saturday, at least, in St Louis.

Do you mean an at large bid? What do you think it will take to be in the mix for an at large?

I'll be honest, I feel WSU has to be a MINIMUM 8-3 non-con, 15-3 Valley & 2-1 St Louis. That's 25-7 and a bubble team. It's the right side of the bubble hopefully, but bubble for sure.

How does UNI get to those numbers, or whatever number you think it will take, just curious.
