Just a matter of time is what I'm hearing.

What does this mean? Is he a good guy or is he trouble? Will he be in trouble again? Is it just a matter of time before his record is expunged? Just a matter of time before he is on probation? We had a pretty good player in the 90s, who was kicked off of the team by the new coach after a serious incident. It became public knowledge soon after that he had been in trouble before but the prior coaching staff kept it under wraps and ignored his problems. He wasn't a good dude but he was a high school Top 50 player. Marshall won't put up with those type of guys and I'm thankful for that. Will Muller put up with that?

Most of us don't have any details so we will see. There is no news of him having any troubles since holy roller Marshall recruited him out of high school so we should be good if this gets resolved.

So, two starters out. One because of a court date upcoming and the other because he was held out for not performing in practice and "being late to some commitments".

And Muller didn't run any offensive sets in an exhibition game, the point of which is to run things to see what you have. I'm sure those sets will flow smoothly opening with VCU.

Could be a real interesting year for the Birds.

No. Knight was out for a court date and Middlebrooks was out for a bad blister on his foot. Lofton played, but only 18 mins (scoring 19 points) and played "less" because of practice and being late. 2 starters out, and 1 played less then the norm, if he fulfills his obligations. He had some promising quotes in the paper about being accountable for his actions.

Could be a real interesting year for the Birds.

Don't disagree. Will probably be lots of ups and downs...

Holy Roller Marshall? What does that mean? Just because it appears like you might possibly have a couple of thugs on your hands, you try to deflect the attention? Maybe you'll have a smooth year and everything is dandy, or maybe the turmoil from your quest for wins will bite you in the butt. Time will tell but don't try to make this something it isn't.

I think that ISU will beat VCU by a million trillion gajillion points and upend every competitor on their schedule handily. They will then finish the regular season and Valley season undefeated and win Arch Madness in Saint Louis and they will then advance to the Final Four and win the national championship handily. Paris Lee has such good defense and he had so many steals and an alley oop pass to Reggie Lynch. Bobby Hunter is so good going to the basket and free throws and Zach Lofton is an amazing jump shooter and three-point shooter and best player on the team. Once he does better in practice and isn't late to anything, he will play the entire game. Middlebrooks didn't play because he was hurt in the exhibition, but he will start and play stellar defense. John Jones will be even more effective in the post with Middlebrooks in the lineup, Reggie Lynch will swat anything that comes his way and Nick Zeisloft, the three-point sharpshooter. Once Daishon Knight's court date is over Friday morning and he is cleared of all charges, he will hop onto a jet plane and make it to VCU in time for game time that night. VCU is in for a surprise, they don't even know.

Daishon's court date has been rescheduled for today, so there may be an answer to his availability sooner rather then later...

Diverting what attention? I said we will see what happens with the court date. My comment was a sarcastic reply to your Marshall won't put up with that comment since it was ironic that Marshall also recruited this kid. Could you name the couple of "Thugs" on our team? Thanks in advance!

Just because he was recruited doesn't mean anything. How long was he recruited? Thousands of kids are approached and recruited and then backed off of. It's who you sign that a coach is accountable for.

Fair enough. Who are the thugs on our team so we know who to keep an eye on. Thanks again!

You tell me. I think that I read somewhere on your Redbird board that it was "Good to see that ISU got rid of guys who didn't have any problems off of the court for guys who committed Class 3 felonies". Furthermore, I think that I stated above you may have thugs and that time would tell. Finally, I also stated that everything may be fine and dandy too. Time will tell.
