That gave me a good laugh. The league should vote on a rule to forbid former valley coaches from coaching in the league again if they were fired. Then they should ignore that rule and allow someone to hire Phelps.

But he can't coach against Drake the first year.

I assume Drake would complain about this ruling, as it would be unfair that all the other teams got to play 2 games against a Phelps-coached team.

I can only hope that some sort of rules-changing-based temporal loop would result wherein nobody had to play Loyola.
