Fair enough. No doubt the Valley schedule this year(even if WSU loses 3-5 games therein) isn't really doing much to prepare a team for top competition in the NCAA tournament. Still, I'd rather take my chances as a top seed than have 6 losses and an 8 seed.

I wonder though, if you also think that a 28-6 WSU team with a 7 seed would also lose before the Sweet 16? In which case it would be simpler for you to say that you don't think WSU is a Sweet 16 team this year. Which is not an invalid opinion, just curious.

Thanks for the well wishes! Once out of the first round, it is unlikely that WSU will get anything other than a top 25 team.

We're still in the MVC, right? A Sweet 16 has been the ceiling here for decades. If WSU makes the Sweet 16, that's an accomplishment. Not the accomplishment we want, but still, it's not something you scoff at. And if we don't get that far, not making it as far as only a few MVC teams have been in the last decade, and further than Creighton has ever been, isn't an insult.

But as an Evansville fan, I understand how you can be flippant about NCAA tournament success. I mean, jeez, only the round of 32? Old news for Purple Aces fans.

There are no Shocker fans that are more cocky than Couteur (?) and Aces1982 (?), and despite their cockiness, the Aces are mid-level MVC team at best. We are 13-0, and at some point we will lose a game, probably 4 or 5 on the season. None-the-less, we are having a fantastic season, BEYOND almost all Shocker predictions. If you root for us because it is good for the League, GREAT! If you root against us because you have a perceived slight from one of the posters on here, then I think it's a shame that you have such little self-confidence. If it's basketball related, please feel free to expand. There is nothing wrong with believing that the Shockers aren't a top 10 team. There's nothing wrong with thinking they'll get beat in the NCAA tourney, but I would implore you to expand on this knowledge base so that it can be better understood.

I like nothing more than talking basketball. I have no interest in responding to someone's personal feelings of inferiority whether they be UE, WSU, or some other team. Good luck the rest of the way!

Clearly GoAcesGo forgot about the Evansville posters that were here flapping their gums when the Aces shot out to a 5-0 start against Atlantic Sun teams and what not. One Aces fan was predicting 14-4 in the Valley and 23-6 overall. And you have the audacity to call WSU fans "cocky"?

I mean, it's not like WSU fans have a right to be cocky. I mean, they're only 13-0, ranked 8th in the nation, coming off a Final Four run. Clearly those are lame reasons to be cocky about a team.

Thanks for the reality check though, GoAcesGo! If you'd know anything about being good and cocky, an Evansville fan should be the one doing the preaching alright
