Different team & a new year. It doesn't seem to affect the team. From interviews, this group seems to want that challenge to prove themselves.

Blow an 18 point lead in the title game and lose by 9 (and fall behind by double digits)....after catching absolute fire for 2 days.

I'll trust what a 30 game schedule leading up to that says about ISU, rather than a hot 36 hours

You need to play the best basketball at the end of the season. The purpose of the season is to strengthen the team & build chemistry so at the end of the year when it really matters you play up to your potential.

It seems no one else in the conference was able to muster a winning record against ranked opponents either.

Why did Muller vote for his team last year, but not this year?

Shows a complete lack of confidence is this years team, does it not? I mean. Last year his players were good enough to get his vote, but not this year?

Muller is a realist. We lost our leading scorer and rebounder so he went with Loyola this year.

If it was Muller, it just proves how petty of an immature douche he is.

The only other possibility is that swellafelon had a vote.

Excuse me?

If Muller wants to put himself in the fire constantly, then go for it. Unfortunately for him, he hasn't backed it up very well other than being that annoying gnat that flies around and always ends up on the other side of Gregg Marshall's fly swatter.

You're talking an awful lot for being an Illinois State fan, 17 years and counting.

6 games back.

5 games back of 2nd place.

ISUr was literally out of contention 2 games and 5 days into the 2 month 18 game grind. 1.5 good games in March doesn't make it 'close.' Not even a little bit. When they change the poll to "Do I think my team has an outside shot at winning the Valley Tournament?" then you can make a case. Until then, anyone defending it will look as moronic as Muller did.
