We are not a good team right now. Plain and simple. I really hope Jake messes with his rotations a little bit too. I do not like Carlson getting as much run as he is. He plays hard, but he looks to shoot too much and is a terrible shooter. Plus hardly plays inside at all. So we are basically running a 5 wing game. I think Koch and Friedman could use a little more run. Give us a true inside presence. Carlson is sort of like a worse shooting Chip Rank at this point. Last night Jesperson fouled out early. That means our guard rotation shrinks to only 4 guys (and we play 4 guards for 95% of the game). The loss of Arias Austin hurts more than most would have thought it would.

Illinois State might be the worst 3-0 Valley team in the league's history.

Another fair question is, how did they beat NC and Iowa State? I had the impression that the Cats were one of those teams that lived and died by the 3 this year, but they shot it pretty well last night. Is it possible that the Bears played a really nice game and it's not necessarily that UNI played that poorly?
