Dont sell yourselves short, IU is not anybody special this year. Outside of Wattford, I was shocked at how well we matched up with them. Granted, we didn't show up to play the second half, but I just wasn't impressed with them. Take this for what its worth, hating IU comes as second nature to me, but their marquee wins this year are us and Wright St. This is a very winnable game for UNI, not an easy game, but very winnable.

Well, we got one. Only were able to hold Indiana to 18 below their season average. I don't know if that's intimidating or if we just keep getting lucky. Again and again and again.

Offensively, we may not be a 50% shooting team like we were in the first half, but we are a lot better than the 29% we have been shooting so far this year. As long as we can make enough of those to allow for our guards to be able to dribble-drive a little, we will be okay. And don't foul us, we're still pretty solid there.

That being said, this is a team with obvious physical limitations and practically no post depth. The Panther margin for error is razor thin against top 100 type teams and anyone with size.

They continue to play to their strengths and "do what they do" very effectively. It's worked before, but it's just not going to be the same, on most nights, without size and talent like they lost after last season. Preparation and effort can only carry the day so often, and against so many.

I generally agree with this, but I believe we continue to be a system that is better than its parts. We don't have any imposing post players, but we work as a unit and help out. Teams with two good posts that can be on the floor at the same time and at least one that can stretch us, can cause problems. But, we will still play in your grill and not back down one bit.

Great win tonight, now we just need New Mexico to take care of business against Colorado (the Lobos are leading 41-33 at the half). We have fared well against Steve Alford's teams in the past.

congrats on the win UNI. I had the feeling when IU tied it up that they would pull it out, but UNI really out-played them in the last 5 minutes. O'Rear had some nice passes and boards down the stretch.

seeing crean burn about 1000 calories spassing out on the sideline the whole game and still lose to a Valley team was a nice early Christmas gift.

UNI wins the tournament. Makes you wonder how the hell they lost to Iowa now, doesn't it?

It's great when an MVC team wins a tournament with a field consisting of Colorado, Indiana, and New Mexico. I think some people will be rethinking where they predicted UNI after this week.
