Isn't Indiana State still playing without two projected starters in Christian Williams and Cooper Neese, who become eligible at the end of the fall semester? I know the Trees typically show flashes of being good in the non-con then struggle in the conference over the last few years, but these two additions will be pretty significant come conference play. As long as the team can jell together quickly, they could be tough.

They both are eligible starting Dec 16th. INSU just has two games left to play without them which is North Texas tomorrow and then a D2 game. That means we get them as we get ready to start the MTE we are in this year.

For one, the NET rankings are terrible. There's practically no support for it anywhere, and its not a good gauge of the strength of a school to this point.

For two, it doesn't have an SOS listed (as that factor is inside the NET), so it doesn't fit nicely in my columns :D

But......regardless of your opinion, IT IS WHAT THE NCAA USES. All the other ratings are just there to compare and contrast - but like it or not, it the NET that is on the team sheets and is used as a sorting tool.

Make your own heat chart.

Make a heat chart that is actually relevant.

All these metrics tell me is that once again the MVC will be a one-bid league.

Yep--too many squandered opportunities and bad losses by the "Illinois Four" this non-conf schedule. Disappointing...but it was an uphill battle to begin.

Again....minus Wichita St. and Creighton, this has been a one-bid league since 2006. Not a huge surprise.

So you are hoisting the white flag.....only counter-argument is u don't want the truth.

U still don’t get - RPI is dead. It is meaningless. Much like the Redbirds season.....Hahahahahahaha

Hint - RPI SOS is most likely the same SOS as the NET (since the NET is using components of the RPI).

No white flag here dude. Our season is just fine, just waiting for the Conference Tourney like your shockers are since that's the only way either of us are getting in.

Took a look at your "heat chart" by the way... and oh baby let me tell you the mighty shockers are setting the world on fire. Hows the view now that you're falling off of your cliff?

RPI is dead, I'll agree. If you knew anything about me youd realize I've hated the RPI for decades. But the three metrics I've chosen have been three widely accepted models used in team evaluations over the years.

But look around, everyone having civil conversations except one lowly shocker fan. Some things never change....
