I don't even know what to say about Valpo at this point except on behalf of Crusader fans everywhere I'm sorry this team will be dragging down the conference this year.

Love watching Drake. While faraway defensively, Drake’s offense reminds me so much of Loyola’s last year. Crisp ball movement, patience, shot selection. Nick Norton is General Custer’ing that buzzsaw with efficiency monster Nick McGlynn Krutwig’ing down low.

In contrast, Bakari Evelyn leading Valpo in shots taken packaged with a 22% clip and 9 grenades beyond the arc seems to be a weekly occurrence.

Two similarly talented teams where coaching and BBIQ make all the difference.

Devries knows how to win. How to recover to win, how to get in position to win and how to finish. Practical substitutions. Doesn't seem to get flustered, just makes corrections with improving talent and player knowledge,

We will see but possibly the best Drake coach since Maury John.
