Game was not nearly as close as the final score. No Drake starter played more than 20 minutes....Bulldogs could have won by 50-60 had they chosen to.

Good change from previous Drake teams that would have struggled for a half before winning against a D2 school.

UNI not looking good here late vs Stony Brook, down 10 in front of a sparse crowd

Stony Brook does win by 10

We're horrific. Bad. Awful. Terrible.

Absolutely nothing in our junior and senior classes and had Lohaus not gotten hurt he wouldn't be here this year.

Inexcusable. We're the easiest team on the planet to scheme for. Send 2 or 3 guys at AJ Green and then watch everyone else on the floor miss wide open 3s and layups. We can't shoot a f****** layup at this point.

Our newest specialty seems to be defending hard for 25 seconds and then giving up an uncontested layup.

We didn't see it in the moment but the program, and Ben Jacobson, were irreversibly broken on March 20, 2016. It's been 2 1/2 years and we haven't looked like UNI once since that happened. Recruiting is awful, coaching has been conservative and generally milquetoast. We're spending more on actual basketball expenses than any team in the league and I'll be shocked if we win more than 3 or 4 league games.

So you're saying MartyBall returns to Ford Center on February 17th for one day only?

I haven't watched a UNI game yet this season, but this sounds oh so familiar. :buddies:

I'll be here. I've missed about 15 total home games since my dad started taking me to games when I was 2. I'm in my mid-30s. I'm not going anywhere...

Hopefully things will improve once all the players who were a part of that game cycle out. The Valley needs a strong UNI and all teams should strive to schedule as they do.

The Aces tried hard, but lost to Miami (ohio) by 3.

The MVC ends the non conference with a 58-57 record vs D1 teams
