Only when Drake had the ball.

I hope for his sake he isn't hurt seriously.

Any update today?

As far as UE holding him scoreless for the first 8 minutes, that means nothing. Norton is a guy who looks to set up his teammates first. It's usually only later in the game where he actually starts looking for his own shot. In Drake's win in the championship game in Las Vegas, Norton had only 8 points with 2 minutes left in regulation. He finished with 31. He's not a guy who's looking to score all the time, but he can absolutely take over a game.

I agree absolutely with what you say, but chit happens, and we'll never know how it would have come out with Norton playing the whole game. Maybe the question will be answered at a later date.

Drake wins by double digits if Norton doesn't get hurt. He was the best player on the floor for either team and it isn't even close.

This. Norton was going to be in contention for player of the year in the Valley. Drake turned the ball over 19 times without him and lost in double-OT with a freshman, walk-on point guard playing instead. This seriously isn't supposed to a rip on Evansville but it's not unreasonable to assume that Drake having their best player would have led to a different outcome.

Yes, the Aces might have won by 1, rather than 5. This is all conjecture. I doubt that Norton would have had a better night than KJ Riley's 25 points, and Marty Hill's 24 with two huge 3's, and a steal and monstrous dunk in overtime.

That dunk was vicious...Walter has his guys playing hard. This was Norton's first taste of valley play and he wasnt killing yet. We will never know...just hope the young man isnt seriously injured

Why in the world do they have an ice rink under the basketball court? People come and skate in the off season?

This.

A lot of missed scoring opportunities for KJ last night. He missed several layups and freethrows. He and Hill with season highs scoring.

It's one of the funest things to do in Evansville in the winter time. People come from all over just to watch the water freeze. Ever once in while we have a pro hockey team that hold meetings there.
