I dig it! Modern and clean, I feel like the old SIU Logo was kinda drab and outdated (mainly because all of the black). This adds a lot of color and pops more. Kinda reminds me a bit of the Nevada Wolfpack, but better.

I like it a lot. The MVC has some really unique mascots with the Salukis, Braves, Aces, Sycamores and Ramblers.

I agree. But that nasty WuShock still gives me nightmares. That "thing' is ugly.

Huh, I've never thought of Braves as unique, but looking it up there's only one other DI school called the Braves (Alcorn State). I guess the fact that the Atlanta Braves exists makes it seem more common than it is.

I'd add Redbirds to the unique list, because while there are a lot of teams called the Cardinals, no other college team is called the Redbirds. The only other "Redbirds" I can think of are the StL Cardinals' AAA affiliate in Memphis.

I'm torn on Crusaders. Plenty of schools have it as a nickname, but Holy Cross is the only other one in DI. Unlike the Braves, they don't share the nickname with a professional team. I think I don't see it as unique because Evangel University is an NAIA school in Springfield, MO, and they're the Crusaders.

Bears, Bulldogs, and Panthers are not unique at all. Missouri State is really only one of seven DI schools that go by just "Bears," but add in Bruins (UCLA, Belmont), Black Bears (Maine), and Golden Bears (Cal) and it's even more common. It's also common in DII. Bulldogs and Panthers have so many schools with that nickname it's not even worth counting.

The most common are Eagles and Tigers, though, so at least we don't have any of those. The fact that the SEC has three schools with the Tigers nickname is overkill.

A-10 has three schools called the "Rams."

But then some unique ones with the Explorers, Bonnies, Flyers, Bilikens, Colonials, Dukes, Spiders, Minutemen

While t-shirts aren't that bad, jackets and sweaters get expensive, but it's all the the little decorative stuff from stickers to license plates to banners etc. that in the end nickle and dime ya to death.

I apologize for the tangent from the topic here, but BEARZ77 how do MSU fans feel about the bear logo on the court being so huge? My wife and I always comment on it's size each time we watch one of MSU's home games. And not in a good way. Just curious how the home fans feel about it.

I absolutely love it.
