My hunch is that Moser stays at Loyola. He really is a perfect fit there and I don't know if he wants to deal with the headaches of NYC.

Ya, I wouldn't be surprised if Moser turned down St. John's. I don't even think it's because of NYC. They're just really not a great situation to walk into right now in terms of talent in my opinion. He'd have to be willing to put up with a rebuilding job with added pressure to win quickly.

Reports are now saying Porter is wavering on leaving Loyola.

Who would blame him for accepting the invite for a nice dinner in NYC on St. John's tab, knowing he can return back to Chicago.

St John's fans don't seem thrilled with mentions of Porter --- They claim he wouldn't be able to get NYC guys.

Then again, the NY Post reporter has tweeted that he's being offered $2 million + to go to St. John's. That is some serious money.

$2 million in NYC is still a lot more $$$ than $1 million in Chicago. Your point is well taken, though.

It's a lot of money, but they just had their first winning season in four years. No thanks. Moser could wait a little longer and get a more sustainable program to move to.

He may never get another offer like this again though. While Porter had a great year last year, he isn't exactly a coach with a consistently great track record. His career coaching record is 246-226, that doesn't scream excellence, sometimes you have to take your payday when they come.

Hasnt he turned away at least interviews from Pittsburgh, UNLV, and now St. John's? He doesn't seem to be too interested in leaving unless it's 100% what he wants. In fact, unless it's Creighton, DePaul, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, or Illinois I can't see him taking the job. Maybe Marquette or obviously a huge program like Duke but that's not happening.
