The point guard spot is rotational for the Redbird. Nobody has stepped up to take it over. Rubin will be the 5th starter and probably play point. I'm waiting impatiently for either Cousin or Smith to step up and take hold of the point.

Actually your best point guard is not elgible to play because he is currently a senior in HS over in Indiana ;)
I was married by a Judge...should have asked for a jury.

I definitely agree on that one. We will see if Cousin can improve over the season. Moore may be short, but he already has a pretty good frame. He could very well be the starter next year.

UNLV's Stanback wasn't... I'm really excited for tonight, because the Valley gets their first look at Ekey. Over the summer I watched him in open gym and couldn't believe my eyes. His stats don't pop out (other than his blocks), but his skill set is freakish and he doesn't play like a freshman. Ekey vs. McDermott is gonna be fun for the next 4 years.
Who will be the fifth starter? Clark? Cousin? Rubin?

I'd guess we stick with Rubin, Clark, Ekey, Wilkins, Carmichael with Cousin coming in early if Rubin can't handle the point, Lewis coming in early if we're getting killed on the boards, and Hill coming in early if we need a scoring boost.

Little Nic is leading the great state of Indiana in points per game at 34.5!

Jays get an important road win, 64-53. Antoine Young and Gregory Echenique play great games w/o Wragge and a sick Kenny Lawson who played limited minutes.

This Creighton team will go as far a Young and Echenique can carry them.

Illinois St is TALL! I don't think any other team will get as many offensive boards against CU as ISU got tonight. Even with all that height, they couldn't do much to stop Echenique down low.

Young was really the difference in this one. ISU just doesn't have anyone who can defend a good PG like Young.

Echenique looked pretty good. Mishler did score 10 on him though and he is a walk-on. 8-)

ISU needs it's guards to step up. Our outside shooting has been dreadful too.

Actually Mishler scored at least 2 and I think 3 of his baskets against Lawson who stunk on ice tonight (he sure seems to get sick a lot). The kid has a nice lefty hook but once CU figured that out he got nothing except one pushed back in his face by GE.

Note to Aargh, your predictions of CU doom and gloom weren't too prescient.
