Exhibition games aren't even over yet and this conference is already looking pretty bad. No excuses for not being ready against D2 opponents. Obviously they were ready. Better hope MSU, BU, and UNI can carry this conference. If not we'll be on the 14-16 line come selection Sunday.

Scrimmage: Indiana State 81, SEMO 65 at Bankers Life Arena. Indiana State had 5 guys in double figures led by Christian Williams with 16, J Barnes with 11, T Williams with 11, Neese with 10, C Barnes with 10.

A pretty lazy and disinterested effort from the Bears, who were without starting C Gaige Prim due to minor injury, as well as Jarred Ridder.

With the caveat that nobody is impressed with exhibition wins because you're supposed to win those games, I'll point out that Valpo went 5-0 in exhibition play (4 wins in Canada and a win over Cedarville University).

I think most of us have come to the conclusion that these exhibition games really don't mean much, except that it's really hard to get up for a team that you are supposed to beat by 30 points.
