I watched the game on demand after watching Loyola lose, so pumped to see Evansville rep for the Valley (at least that put me in a better mood). I may have doubted them a bit with all of the preseason hype from the Aces fans, I was wrong they're playing very well this year and the hype from you guys is more than justifiable. They proved that they can hang with and beat the big dogs, It was great to watch especially with the game being at Kentucky. I'm hoping the valley in general can pull off some more upsets, but this one was about as much as you can ask for.

Great win. The Aces made most of the nation very happy. First Alabama loses in football and now Kentucky in basketball. What a great week!!

Here’s a wow: Evansville’s win at Kentucky on Tuesday night was the first win by a true mid-major in a road environment against a No. 1-ranked team since 1993. (Long Beach State at Kansas.)

Over the last 20 seasons, the Missouri Valley Conference is 4-3 vs AP No. 1 teams...the best such record posted by any conference over this span.

All 4 have come since 2010.

Words cannot express my profound pleasure with this result. Kentucky paid Evansville something like $90,000 to get beat in Lexington. That's better than when Syracuse paid WSU $80,000 and lost to them in Syracuse.

This is my favorite basketball result since WSU got to the F4. Tops any W the Shox have had since then.

I may have to peruse the Kentucky message board.

I was there. It was... well, actually, it was pretty dead, which was why we were able to stick around the entire game. I called my mom from the top row while Big Blue Nation silently filed out of the stadium. She thought I was lying. She asked my dad, who was following the game on ESPN.com, which still showed four seconds left. They both freaked out. Then every friend I haven't spoken to in 5 years texted me. Then UE blew up on Twitter.

Then I drove home, and logged on to write my post-game blogpost, and now I've been done with that for an hour and it's almost 1:00 and I'm still finding new stuff to read about tonight's game and I'll be another hour before I'm calm enough for bed.

We suspected Walter was The Guy, but we had no idea he'd get results this good this fast.

Aces basketball is fun again! This'll get the fans into the Ford Center.
