Not really any snow in Cedar Falls but its going to be 40-below overnight and windy as hell. I'm guessing we'll get about 4500 tonight.

Bit of a sleepwalk job by Loyola and UNI but they both did what they needed to do to get a win and set up a titanic clash at Gentile. Missouri State... There are no words for that... Wow... Terrific performance! Clearly they are trying really hard to avoid that PIG spot!

Bradley about to finish off ISUb. Childs has 19 and 6 tonight. Game was tied with about 5 minutes left in game and then Bradley went on big run to put game away. Seemed like same script as game Saturday vs Evansville.

Big matchup now Saturday in Carbondale as Bradley only a game back of SIU now.

Wow! That was the BEST defensive effort I've seen from Valpo all year! That was incredible! 38 points and 24% shooting for SIU... Our offense had some nice stretches but was pretty ugly overall comitting a ghastly 17 turnovers... Kiser sustained a pretty terrible ankle injury toward the end of the game. I hope he'll be okay. He's very important to our defense. He's our glue guy.

When I clicked over after the Bears game, I thought that score was a typo for a second.

If you watched SIU every game it wouldn't really shock you. They put up some poor offensive efforts on the road. Loyola and ILL ST were ugly. I don't know what it is but they get stuck in neutral on the road sometimes and forget to attack. Also missed about 7 wiiiiide open 3's and Domask just never got aggressive inside. Valpo deserves credit but SIU has looked like this on the road multiple times this year.

Any update on Krutwig's injury?

No disrespect to Missouri State and Valpo, but if UNI does end up getting the 1-seed, I would rather not see Drake on day one. It took our best effort to pull it out over the Bulldogs in McLeod last week.

I say this every year, but there should be some solid games at Arch Madness this year. Every team has it in them to make some noise. Even Evansville.

Yeah that's what makes this conference so great. There are no bad teams at all.

Bradley also took them to work in Peoria- that game was ugly. I think the Salukis fg % was in the 20's in that game too. SIU needs to win Saturday to avoid the 4/5 game (to stay out of UNI side of bracket), but if MO State gets the 6th seed, thats a tough draw too.

I don't care at all about avoiding UNI side of the bracket. I don't think there is one game SIU can't win and I don't think there is one game they are assured to win. The one concern has to be just avoiding Thursday to have a chance. I do not think SIU has enough to win in STL, however I would not want to be a team playing then either. As long as they avoid Thursday I am fine with it. They could be the 2-6 seed and the match up they get could be any of Bradley, Loyola, MSU, INST, and Drake.
