It was almost a criminal act for Loyola to be seeded so badly. And the casualty for this misdeed was the Illinois and Big Ten fans. I really do feel a little sorry for them, but not much.

They've already done alot more than Creighton ever did for the Valley in recent history and they are starting to look like quite the upgrade over the Shockers. Thanks for leaving Wichita! I hope playing a marginally more difficult schedule was worth the trade of no one caring about you anymore

Announcers can’t stand it . They are literally cheering for Illinois

I loved that. They were chomping at the bit to start praising the Iliani. One time one of them was shooting a three and the announcer says, “Oh, he is just so-o goo-[ball rims off]... well, he can sure dribble.”

Great win Ramblers, and despite the shock of the national pundits, never saw this game as an upset. It actually played out the way I thought, although the Ramblers were even more dominant than I thought they would be. I had the game a push with Loyola pulling it out. Figured Krut would be a tough match for the stationary Cockburn, Williamson would do a decent job on Dosunmu, and that Loyola's team defense would frustrate the other Illini guards and keep them out of the lane for the most part. Honestly, Krutwig is a better college post player because he can do so much more than Cockburn, and Williamson is a high level defender who was a perfect match against Dosunmu; after that Loyola was the deeper and better coached team.
