Really an incredible game. I don't think either team had more than a 2-3 point lead in the last 10 minutes of the game. Lead change after lead change.

Drake is 4-1 in MVC road games. Two one point wins followed by two overtime wins. Only road loss was a 5 point loss at MSU in the opener, a game in which Drake went 1-16 from 3-point range.

Bradley handled Valpo easily on the road. Impressive win. Valpo had no answer on either end really. Reink Mast and Terry Roberts are as a good a 1/2 combo the league has.

Valpo - I'm not sure what is going on there.

UNI played incredibly poorly in the second half but, thankfully, it was Evansville and they escaped with a win that they wouldn't have gotten against any other team in the league.

Have to be much better Saturday or Illinois State will win by double digits.

Note- AJ Green scored his 1500th career point in his 87th career game.

Saturday hosting Indiana State will be a good test to see if Bradley has really shaken off the early season rust. After a slow start, they finally have created expectations after winning at Drake, taking care of SIU at home and winning convincingly at Valpo after the embarrassing loss at Illinois State.

Roberts and Mast are the best guard/forward combo Bradley has had in 15 years. Hickman should easily make the all-freshman team. Leons is a little raw but his length is really an asset defensively and is more than capable of creating his own shot. Ville and Kent are a nice supporting cast and are so much better when the offense isn't forced to run through them. This is a fun team to watch when they are clicking. Oh and the patented Mikey Howell to Ari Boya alley-oop is a thing of beauty.

Bradley is starting to look more like a contender then a Thursday night team now though. The losses to both ISU's on the road are holding Bradley back, but look what they've done so far against the "top 4" teams in the league:
Beat UNI at Home in Early December
Lost on a last second 3 pointer at home to MSU (If we had only gotten the rebound off the initial missed shot)
Lost @Loyola in OT (had an 18 point lead in 2nd half)
Won @Drake

If Bradley is able to continue to play on the road like they did last night, we could get a very interesting race for seeding in the top 5.

 You would think you would get used to it after all these years, but nope. I expect it, but still not used to it, and it still makes me mad when we lose games that we shouldn't lose.

It's a shame too. I have to believe that they'd have legitimate hope for an at large at this time if they hadn't tripped in this game or against SEMO. Even if they win almost every game the rest of the way those losses (especially SEMO) are going to do them in. I think the only path to two bids for the MVC this year is through Loyola getting to the final of Arch Madness and losing which is sad because I (and I believe many others on this board) expected more this year.

23 years and counting of roller-coaster rides of emotion. Just when you let your guard down, get re-invested, Dorothy drops a house on you. To quote Red from Shawshank, "hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane". This is the life of a Bears fan.

It's why I don't get people who don't like sports. Nothing touches all of your emotions like living and dying with the team you love.

I thought I saw a stat today where over the last 36 minutes of the game the largest lead was 4 points. Really a entertaining game, just needed a foul to be called on Reeves shot with under 10 seconds and we might've pulled it out
