A tough matchup with the Salukis looming for them Friday, but if they get that then a likely matchup with Drake in the semis. The Bears swept Drake this year and every game between those two teams always seems to come down to one possession. Of course I can also see the Bears randomly losing against UIC too.

The Bears have quite a bit of talent that’s for sure.

Oh wow. That would be quite the conundrum, I suppose I would have to pull (silently) for the Racer Trash.

Believe me, we wanted that six seed so we could potentially face SIU-Garbagedale Friday. If we see each other again, we'll be ready. :D

Name-calling (both ways) aside, to what extent will Murray's lukewarm season impact turnout at the tournament? Curious where Murray will slot in among fan turnouts ... I'm guessing SIU and Bradley will be the top two, then Murray is somewhat similar to Drake, followed by Indiana State (hurt by slipping to Thursday?) and UNI?

Missouri State's turnout in STL has been trash in the modern era and I'm not expecting a whole lot from Belmont, but I'd have to think they'll bring some. And Illinois State being so down isn't helpful.

UNI sold our full allotment plus more. Our core fan base is pretty darn loyal.

Question for the Braves fans on here, would you rather face the Redbirds or Panthers? Neither pose a threat on paper, but UNI has Born returning and there's the emotion of rivals and "nothing to lose" factor against IlSt.

Bradley was lucky to beat Illinois St in Peoria, but dominated them in Normal. I think Bradley is generally a very bad matchup for UNI, and Illinois St has some ability to matchup against Bradley. So I would be slightly more confident facing UNI.

Believe me, us at SIU wanted it too because Murray has been God awful down the stretch.

Well, that team will the lukewarm season still led the league in attendance.

We have a massive alumni base in St. Louis and I suspect we will have a big as crowd as anybody.

Interesting point from Tom Ackerman in the MVC Courtside Chat at the 33 minute mark last week, where he basically said he wants to see whose fan base will be number 2 in St. Louis because he suspects Murray will lead the way....

I suspect we will have the normal 3k to 5k. It's the reason the MVC wanted Murray.

As far as Belmont, their crowd wouldn't fill Quatros Pizza....

I think Bradley will bring 5k, honestly. SIU/Murray will bring the next most. Followed by Drake/UNI then ISU/ISU/MSU.

Bradley won't bring 5k. We could barely get 5k to our home games all year up until yesterday. We'll bring 500-1000 people probably, maybe a bit more with continued improvement if we keep winning throughout the weekend.
