I hope this means we finally get to see the long talked about Murray fanbase that travels well. Pretty disappointing showing in St. Louis.

It’s easy to travel well when you’re 28-3 smacking little OVC programs every night.

Yeah, everybody has done it, lol. You must be cornfused it was 28-5 season in 2018-19 when we smacked the spit right out of your fanbase by 28 on your own floor, lmao!

Ya'll gotta understand something. Most of you all were not around the last time the Racers had three seasons like these.

Gas was 40 cents a gallon. Gerald Ford was president. New Mexico and West Texas State were Valley teams.

The fact that we had 4,000 show up (albeit, dwindling this season) for Racer home games was quite staggering considering how much we sucked. And I don't want to hear this bullshit about how "this ain't the OVC" because our women's team is about to hang a banner.

We'll be back. And when it happens, watch out.

"Sources said Murray State has been atop the Missouri Valley in roster resources and plans to add to those resources for 2025-26."

There are ratings like KenPom that do an excellent job of squaring things by season’s end. Murray State’s season ending rankings since 2002 are available for comparison along with the teams from the MVC. I invite anybody ignorant on these, like Kyle lol, to educate yourselves. There is no reason everybody can’t possess a high college basketball fan IQ in this day and age, even fans of programs who haven’t sniffed an NCAA Tournament in 18+ years hahaha.

I’m just trying to figure out why such a great fanbase doesn’t show in St. Louis every year.

Because we have sucked under Prohm 3 years. You should be well experienced in sucking, surprised you need it spelled out for you. Your arena looked like outer space our last game there, lol.

It’s the ticket prices. It’s the timeslot. It’s Steve Prohm. It’s Jacobi Wood. It’s something new every year.

Notice how SIU, ISUr, etc don’t have a laundry list of excuses — they just show no matter how many down years they’ve had lately because it’s embedded in their fan culture.

The next Murray St coach has a challenge on his hands if he has to win road games in STL. Thousands of Bradley fans were the alpha last night and that emotion and energy helped lift the players in the 2nd half. Murray players were left to fend for themselves because their fans spent the weekend behind keyboards instead of in STL.

You are, of course referring to the Murray home game in Carbondale who vs basically nobody knew about lol. Yes, you prove my point though. It’s easy to show up when you’re winning. Carbondale does it. Bradley does it. Drake does it. Indiana State, etc…

SIU had a decent showing in STL even though we were horrible. But Murray?

You had a 50/50 shot of a bid in the OVC. The other 50% was Belmont. And fans showed. Shocker… SEMO’s crowds are now growing since they are at the top (just under 4,000 last home game). Again, shocker… Winner tonight gets a 16 seed PLAY IN GAME.

It ain’t even about SIU/Murray comparison. You’re in the Valley. It isn’t a guaranteed championship game. There are a lot of solid program you have to beat, and I’m not confident the next coach gets it done either. Right now, like us, you have to figure out how to beat Bradley and Drake. Good luck with that.
