I'm in 105. With the large number both WSU and CU bring, I suppose its hard to put them all close to the court but I have never seen either group get good sections. It looks to me like we are right in the corner like last year. I have always thought there was some home cooking in regards to who gets the good sections. It would make sense to keep certain groups apart too. Nothing against WSU but last year they sat right next to the CU student section. Stupid right?

But it was good entertainment for WSU fans watching CU students get escorted out...

If the sections were split vertically, then it would not to hard for ALL schools to get some people by the court... Horizontal splits, like the current system uses, is ensuring more than half the schools get no fans by the court.

As an example there is or at least is a section of SIU fans courtside in the end zone right next to students. Some of them are in the exact same seats for at least 5 years. No way any teams that do not have a local connection get those seats year after year. Nothing against the people sitting there as I would do the same thing but then don't send out a statement like the MVC does saying its not rigged. When CU was doing well in the Korver years we had just as many people in St. Louis but minus family we were still in the corner and end zone. I remember becasue we stayed for the Monday night game. All of the prime seat holders had left. Our AD had huge groups of mid court tickets to hand out for the final game. Why didn't CU have those in the first place when they were a favorite and had such a big following?

I have an email out to the MVC asking for the pretty little color map that we've seen in the past.

Any luck with this yet?

From Mike Kern, Associate MVC Commissioner:

I do not have one that is an electronic format.

I’ll forward your request to our tournament manager, Joe Mitch.

It was also fun to watch the shouting match between the CU students and the 50+ yr old WSU fans..

Behavior expected from a drunk college student?? Yes. Behavior expected from an adult with his family by his side?? Yeah not really. But still funny

I saw one instance of an older WSU fan REALLY getting into it with a CU student (I saw a bunch of smaller shouting matches). That was after a couple CU students were yelling at his wife and kids. What is the adult supposed to do?
