I remember when someone said we we're going to end 9-9 after our fast start in conf. play. I remember when someone said we weren't any better than evansville and siu. I remember we were getting "lucky," just about every game.

Well the team lucked themselves all the way to the conference championship.

I can't believe that MSU won't make the NCAA tournament. Otherwise what's the use of playing 18 games to determine the conference champion. Might as well just say to hell with the regular season, and just play three games in March to see who goes. It's very seldom that conference champions don't make the big dance. Maybe if they had lost the first game, but to make the final game, and come up just short, shouldn't keep them out.

It was not the MVC games that cost them the at-large. It was the losses to Tenn, Okie St, Tulsa, and getting slapped around at freaking valpo that cost them.

Unfortunately, the Valley blew every opportunity it had against OOC opponents. Either by losing or by poor scheduling. And this is the results of that. A one bid league.
