It's a bitter sweet day for Bradley as we lose a guy who led us to the sweet 16, and was a great player, but it all comes down to results. I did some looking today out of curiosity what his best finishes conference record wise. We know the best he ever finished was 4th place:
11-7 - 2005-2006 - Tied for 5th place, Sweet 16
10-8 - twice, 2006-2007 and 2008-2009. 4th place both times, NIT and CIT tourneys
9-9 - twice, 2007-2008 and 2009-2010. 5th place both times, CBI and no tourney.
So only 5 out of 9 years did he at least finish .500 in the valley, and really only a winning record in the valley 3 times. He never really got it done and took the step to the next level to compete for a Valley title.
