If the NCAA granted Jeremiah Masoli the waiver and let him transfer without sitting out I think they will probably do it for a kid who is good in the classroom and in the community like Sam.

What's interesting is that Jerrance Howard at Illinois would be the one who would go after him. Howards name also comes up as a possibility for the coaching position at BU. Interesting........

Iowa State had a player, Derek Anderson?, that transferred from Northern Illinois and played this past season. Was one of NIU's leading scorers last year but had graduated and was able to enroll at ISU as a grad student with one year of eligibility.

This really blows fro Bradley, they will likely be even worse than this year unfortunately, I like having them come to Hulman Center and play good games.

Yeah it stinks, but it's the risk you take when you make a change. Some are making it seem like the sky is falling, but it isn't. Under Sammy, BU went CBI, CIT, no postseason. There's little evidence that next year, even if everything went right, BU would be any better than middle of the road. BU clearly wasn't afraid of losing Danny Granger in 2002 when he had 3 years left at the school, so there's no reason to be afraid of losing a player now that has 1 year left, and a twice surgically-repaired ankle. Best of luck Sammy, I hope you find what you're looking for.

How can it get any worse for Bradley next year, we finished 10th and lost to ISU (red) twice.

I feel for the Bradley faithful, Maniscalco is a great guard when healthy. Keep that transfer disease in Illinois, don't want it spreading to Des Moines!

Main point was: I thought BU could be back to a top 5 team with Maniscalco and Brown...

Perhaps, but then where are we after next year with Les? Nowhere. The cycle starts over 'we are young', 'he just needs time', blah blah blah. If the 4-5 game is Jim's ceiling (which it was), then it's time for someone else. If it means sacrificing next year (which it may not), so be it.
