Very funny.

They've been doing the "W" for 10-15 years. But I really doubt they stole the symbol from a Colorado high school. I never knew about it. Did anybody ever hear about it? How did you know about it?
MSU fans are in elite company. They, along with Evansville and Illinois State, have been absent from the NCAA's the longest. Maybe they can form another trendy t-shirt along the lines of "Party like it's 1999"..?

Sorry, got the state wrong....working off memory. Hannover High School in 2000 in Pennsylvania. Made national news when a bunch of their students held up the "two in the pink, one in the stink" symbol all over their yearbook. You can look it up all over the 'net, I don't need to cite any sources.
Seems to match your "estimated" 10 - 15 year time frame to have stolen it. I guess YOU would need to cite your source to prove otherwise. I cannot find any references anywhere that show Wichita State used it prior to 2000.
So for now...unless proven otherwise...they stole it from a High School.
