Also, I am a Panther fan, which is why I use 'cats' in my name. Thought I'd help you out with that.

I read somewhere about Jim Boeheim talking about having to go to Clemson, SC now. And he said something like "well I guess they have a Denny's there." I can't wait until Jay Wright asks around for recommendations for a nice dinner the night before the game and they end up at Runza. They'll love it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Creighton swagger. But let's help these lost souls find a Nova board or a Marquette board or something. You want to talk big then go there and tell them about your lavish arena and stuff like that. You don't have to remind us about how important you all are.

When you're getting owned by this guy....you've got issues.

My mistake! Since you're still talking about Creighton on http://www.panthernation.com/showthread.php?t=51711&page=5 and whether you can replace your Savannah St. game this year with a home-and-home next year with Creighton, I assumed the Jays were still relevant to UNI.

But to speak to the question on that thread, the only MVC teams Creighton will consider scheduling home-and-home in men's basketball in the future are Wichita State and, as a long shot, Drake. The only way we play the others is in an MTE, postseason tournament, or buy game in Omaha. Not saying it's not a loss to miss playing UNI and everyone else, but when you're a major program you're only playing home games, RPI games, or (Drake) very close geographically, winnable road games.
"When you lose a program like Creighton, there's no sugarcoating it," Elgin said. "It's a devastating loss. They're going to go on and have success in the league they've joined..." Jeff Eisenberg, Yahoo Sports, October 10, 2013.

So, how does that affect Creighton?

Until Creighton actually appears on a UNI schedule they do not matter to us. And considering that Daddy Mac and Lil Mac are scared of losing even more games in McLeod Center it's very doubtful that we will see Creighton again. We're not losing sleep over it.

What a coincidence that you used Jay Wright in your example. He was interviewed today about taking Villanova to Omaha and he didn't mention Runza but here's the quote:

"I'm really excited. I've watched games there. I watched St. Joe's out there and, as a matter of fact, I think they got buzz-sawed out there by 40. That team (Creighton) was unbelievable and that environment was unbelievable. I watched that. You watch a place like that and think, 'That would be cool.' I went out there to watch a kid at Iowa Western Junior College and so when I was out there I was like, 'Let me drive around this place, let me see the arena (CenturyLink).' Omaha was a great town, I stayed overnight there. And so, I do look forward to it. Having said that, we'll probably get hammered there!"

Looks like Jay Wright is looking forward to the Omaha trip more than Boeheim is to Clemson.

Is Drake a winnable road game?

The average college basketball road team winning percentage is 32 or 34%, depending on the source used. Creighton went 10-7 at Drake over the last 17 years, so with a winning percentage of 59%, the answer to your question is "yes."

FS1 is somewhere north of 90 million. Households are important to FS1 because that's how they make their money (reportedly 80 cents per month per household) and without money they can't pay their contract with the Big Priest or expand.

I saw a bit of their hoops preview show on Friday and was jealous as hell. Ask yourself honestly how big of a deal it would be for your school to get a home-home with Gtown or Marquette and then put it on national TV every year. I will be watching to see how Creighton does for sure.
