UNI is beating the same competition that WSU is on their "winning" streak.

At no time did I refer to WSU beating the bottom half of the Valley as a winning streak. WSU's winning streak is 1 home game against Illinois State. The rest of the Valley games are NCAA tourney disqualification events.

This is one of the better sentences on the board in the last couple months. Better as in accurate. Also, sad.

You were too fast for my edit .. Your impressive 1-5 point victories sure put WSU's 20-30 point blowouts to shame. Very equal wins.

A win is a win.

Over the last 9 UNI is 8-1...so is WSU and ISUr.

Hairy Palm probably actually has UNI ahead of WSU on his curve anyways!

I voted UNI...now I think I want to change my vote to Bradley. The Braves looked like the better team tonight.

Nice to see UNI enact their revenge on Bradley in another thumping at home.

At full strength, we are much better than them. Besides, I'm not even talking about what happens at UNI...this convo was about Arch Madness.

If I had to rank teams I would want ISUr to play at Arch Madness (first) it would go like this:

1. Bradley
2. Drake
3. Evansville
4. Indy St.
5. SIU
6. UNI
7. Missouri St.
8. Loyola
9. Wichita State

And, honestly, at full strength, nobody scares me until WSU in the finals.

I think you are living in La La Land if you think that Loyola and Missouri State would be tougher than UNI...

Case in point...MSU can give us fits

Yup, MSU did give them fits last night and a month ago in Normal. I can't deny that. I think last night and back in January might have been the best version, or one of the best versions or Missouri State we will see. I think that if they see that team again, it won't be close. Dirty Dan seemed so frustrated with all the wide open shots, I would expect him to crack down on that is the Birds and Bears meet in St. Louis.

After last night, where ISU played one of it's worst games all year and won, and UNI had trouble with Bradley at home...I take back my statement about UNI winning the tournament. I fully expect to see them playing on Saturday, but they won't beat ISU or WSU.

I think that the only way that either WSU/ISU doesn't make it to Sunday, is if one completely falls apart and the team they play shoots the lights out. Even then, talent still might win out.

If the Birds get to Sunday, play to their capabilities, I have no doubt they can win the game, if they play bad and Wichita continues to execute in the 2nd half like they have been, it might be a long afternoon. I expect that rubber match to be a good one, both teams don't seem to be real big fans of one another and neither do the coaches. As much as I want to say Illinois State will win in St. Louis, the combination of being a pessimistic Redbird fan from years of misery, and how great Wichita State has looked, I have to pick Wichita State. I don't think the game is anything like the game in Wichita, but at this point, I would pick Wichita by around 6.

Really? Did we watch the same game?

Sure the defense and effort wasn't at the highest level but they were up against an inspired Bears team
that has the 3rd most talented roster in the Valley.

ISUr shot 45% FG 38% 3Pt and only had 8 TO's to 15 assists. I thought they responded well to adversity
and toughed out a difficult road win.

Wish Lee and Clayton would have hit their FT's at the end to make things easier but to say they played
one of their worst games is just wrong!

Your ability to assess basketball is not good my fellow Redbird fan. This is a trend with Missouri State as we have now beaten them by a total of +4 points in our 2 meetings this season.

They are athletic, quick and have a very good roster (coaching is their downfall). They play a style of offense we struggle against. Spread and drive/kick.

Again, I want MSU on the other side of the bracket at all costs at Arch Madness.
