Yes, absolutely. So go ahead and just lay down Saturday for the Redbirds. Lord knows the Birds have been doing their part to help out the other teams.

It is super depressing to see what has become of Illinois State. For them to be in a position where a Thursday night game is considered "likely," shows how far they have fallen this year. The team has given up. Tip of the cap to Dana Ford and the boys for having a great year, I know who I will be rooting for when Illinois State almost certainly goes down in St. Louis.

Buck up, camper! I see the same failures on the court over the last few weeks as you, but I'm not convinced the team has given up. Only the guys on that team or staff there know what's in their heads and hearts. Would I bet on them them turning things around? Hell no. I'm I going to be drinking the koolaid on the way down to St. Louis? Hell yeah.

All that said, I do think this team lacks leadership. This season reminds me of the Zach Lofton team.

Hard to be excited when you are picked to finish top 3 in the league and you are stuck on Thursday. Now I know what Missouri State feels like after last season. I have no faith in this team winning in St. Louis, hope I'm wrong though. This Illinois State team has become one of the most disappointing and one of the more unlikeable teams. Talent wise they are up there with about anyone in the league, but this team has no leadership on the court or with the coach. Dirty Dan needs to get the boys back on track fast, but faith in Dan is dwindling by the day. All signs are pointing towards him being a pretty average at best coach and not the guy who is going to get it done.

So many IlSU teams have been the trendy pick to win Arch Madness and fallen short.....maybe this is the team that comes in with no expectations and pulls it out? Would be a classic sports.

It appears to me the Birds are just biding their time thinking St L is all that matters but can they just turn it back on? That would seem like a fools errand.
