Ind St (1st place) vs Wichita St. 1/22/11

So far I've seen more good games offered by the WSU contingent than from the ISU contingent.

It was an entertaining basketball game. I thought we played bad and there were some ill-advised coaching decisions. I'll take the win anyway at this point and move on to Carbondale.

Really a fantastic game from a fan's perspective. WSU was dominating inside the paint. ISU blue played pick and roll basketball for the last 25 minutes and the shocks struggled to stop dribble penetration (see Kemba Walker and KA for Northern Iowa). Kelly struggled and fouled out on a silly play as time was running down. Odum is a nice player but needs interior players to help him out.

Again, 2 for a million from the three point line. I think we are beginning the see that the shox are not a very good three point shooting team.

ISU blue played a very good game and showed a ton of guts playing in a roudy environment. Looking forward to the next matchup.

The Shocker woes at point guard continue. They only had 24 points tonight.

No, really. Two good games Saturday to get the Valley some cred. We're not a top-heavy conference like the ACC or the Horizon.

They played well tonight...but if I remember correctly I was mostly talking about the ability to be a playmaker...also How many of those came from free throws? But hey at this point it's moot good game Shocks...We will see you the 1st of february...

Sycamores are a good team. The two top 3 point shooting teams in the MVC did not have it last night, but it was an entertaining game. Rematch is coming soon. It could be a different outcome. Sycs should be favored.
