Hard to believe that after starting 1-3 in the MVC, UNI controls their own destiny.

They only control their destiny if they are in first. They are not. It is now WSU's to lose.

If the Panthers win out (control their own destiny), they win the conference....regardless of whether they are in first now or not...same goes for WSU

Yeah, pretty much both teams control their own destiny. Although if UNI wins out and WSU only loses to UNI that would actually be a share of the title although UNI would hold the tie-breaker. It would still go down as a share of the title though. So not quite the same.

Um...UNI has three losses. So does MSU. If the two teams win out, WSU will have four.

UNI holds the Non-Conf SOS tiebreaker over MSU...we don't over WSU, so we have to beat them.

sorry! I did not know that i was going to piss everyone off about my comment. UNI obviously controls their destiny.

Maybe things worked differently with a short bench 20+ years ago. Now the Valley schedule is played in one less week than it used to be played.


Wait a minute - was MSU even in the Valley in '89?? I thought they joined in '91?

Having watched WSU go down in flames in 2007 because of a short bench - I've seen first hand what happens. this makes two games in a row where MSU didn't seem to have much ability to finish or come back late in a game. That's fatal.

MSU fans can deny it but the Bears are gassed. It's hard to keep up the intensity MSU had at the beginning of the season and it's hard to stay on top once you get there.
