Not entirely true, no. But a school with 2 NCAA appearances in the last 24 years should probably tone the arrogance down a touch.

If Indy State drove the same distance from Terra Haute to Fargo east they would wind up in the Atlantic Ocean. If they drove straight south they'd wind up in the Gulf.

I am not in favor of the Dakota schools btw.

I personally think Butler and SLU being in the A10 instead of the MVC currently is a disgrace and shows a total lack of long term planning at the MVC offices(along with them not having an exit fee for schools who might want to leave).

A) Who cares
B) You will never get to the NCAA tournament in the MVC

Well at least they would have something in common with Wichita State.

Would have been funnier if it wasn't for the fact that they made it last year. If WSU gets a bid this year, that would be 3 bids in 7 years. I think that's pretty respectable.

Do SIU fans still have the right to be arrogant?

Same for several of the other schools.

MSU and Wichita are closer to Denver and Dallas than to Fargo. Cities that are approximately the same distance (+/- one hour by car): San Antonio, New Orleans, Houston, Birmingham, Knoxville, Cincinnati, Green Bay and Minneapolis.

A rough map of all the places that are closer than Fargo to Springfield is below (rough partially because it is a Mercator projection, which becomes distorted east/west at high latitudes, but isn't too bad until you get into Canada)

Why 24?

Oh that's right cause if you said 26 years it would be 4, or 30 it would be 5.

Or if u said 2 in last 7 years it would sound better

It might even become 3 in the last 8 years, although last week really hurt that.

All that is garbage however none of it is great just not NEVER like u suggest.

If NDSU is willing to pay for the Evansville baseball team to fly to Fargo every other year, I'd be all ears. Otherwise, airplanes might as well not exist.

What are they including for that area wise though?

I'm from NW Iowa...there isn't s*** up there to get close to 1 million people unless they are going for well over a hundred miles in every single direction.

The "source" that gives that information is a page that doesn't exist.

Population of counties that are actually in the Sioux Falls market....remember I grew up there, I'm fully aware of what counts of a "market for Sioux Falls" and what doesn't....are very very small. Lyon (right next to SD has a population of 11K...Sioux is the largest in NW Iowa that would be in the Sioux Falls market and it's under 34k.

The photo with the green circle is sioux falls media market actually gets viewership from/sioux falls matters too...not even close to one million people in that area...and I may be generous in some of it.

The red photo is likely what they are counting as the media market...and it's probably not big enough as between Sioux Falls metro and Sioux City tmetro combined the market coverage only about 380k people. NW Iowa, SW Minnesota, and NE Nebraska don't have 620K people in that area.

If that's the case Cedar Falls/Waterloo's market coverage is outlined in purple
