Gg Drake. I hate losing this one. NIT home game bound. See yall in Peoria for one more. Gl in NCAAt.

Edit: To UNI fans, I now also hate the term "dead ball technical"

Stifling defense, extra effort. Well earned Drake.

Well done Drake. What a story this season. Would have loved seeing BU's Deen and Hannah in the NCAA tournament (assuming only a single bid). Here's hoping both teams make solid runs in any tournaments.

That is an awesome Drake team and coaching staff. Masterclass put on by McCollum today. Really was. Congrats to the Drake fans. Bradley is just not good enough.

Hopefully McCollum stays but will be tough to keep him.

Defensive clinic by Drake.

Their offense drives me nuts at times, but it was good enough when it needed to be.

As for tomorrow. Although it kills the dreams of 2 bi valley, I put my money on Drake. Mostly because I have no respect for a fanbase that would cheer while a player is on the floor injured

A run to lose in the semifinals? A lot has been made of the last 72 hours and Valpo basketball. But let’s also not overdo it. This team finished 11th in a 12 team league. They beat an awful UIC team, had a last second win and then lost in the semis. All in front of 50 Valpo fans. It’s not like they won the thing.

The Bradley fans did not cheer when the Valpo player was down. Come on. Their reaction was to Roger Powell losing his s*** on the refs without any repercussion.

I posted early in conference or pre conference that Valpo would be a tough out and with just a couple three exceptions this was true. UIC wasnt awful when they were beating drake and bradley. Agree lets not overdue it but lets not minimize it either. The portal will likely gut this team but if it remains I think clear minded mvc folks can agree the team will be formidable next year.

Valpo looked way better this year. They’ve been pretty bad since they joined the MVC so it was a joy watching them be competitive this year. They looked like they belonged. No one should downplay that.

Valpo improved 92 spots in NET and 88 spots in KenPom. That was one of the biggest improvements in the country.

Congrats to Drake and what a game plan from McCollum. The super hard hedge on the Bradley ball screens was super effective, and Bradley had no counter on what else to do. Their rotations on any skip passes off of that were superb as well. Super frustrating to watch as a Bradley fan, but sometimes you just have to tip your hat to the better team on the day, as there was no doubt about it.

Stirtz is also a master at the end of the shot clock driving, and making it look like he's getting fouled on every shot he takes. Sometimes he does get hit, and sometimes not. He also is just that damn good too, make tons of clutch shots.
