I thought the Sycamores hung in there. I haven't seen the box score but it seemed the difference was rebounding and Syracuse nailed a bunch of threes. ISU missed some bunnies in the second half that really hurt and the 3's didn't fall. Odum definately let the Orangemen know he came to play.
Too bad they weren't in the same zip code tonight. No doubt InSU will be good in coming years. They weren't any good tonight. And, therefore, the conference wasn't any good overall. It's too bad.

I thought Odum did a good job considering...he looked entirely outclassed to me,
He really didn't look outclassed at all to me.... our front court however.. lol
But whatever. Let's not act like ISU didn't play with any heart and lost the game from the beginning. I for one feel pretty positive about the game. This is a young team and they can only get better.
Knew it would be a tough game from the get go. Rebounding and missed shots...basically their athleticism...was definitely the difference. Thought we had a shot when we were down 4 with 13 left and when we down 8 with 7:30 left. Great Syracuse team...glad I picked them to go to the elite 8 in my money bracket.
For all you who say ISU embarrassed the Valley tonight, you either didn't watch the game or just planned on saying that no matter what the score was.
Hope the guys learned a lot from the game and come back better for it next year.
I will say Jake is a top ten trending topic on twitter including a tweet from Dave chappelle lol...Outclassed? If we hadn't fouled that would have been a closer game than that...but we did...I think there's a hint of jealousy in that comment lol
Odum is getting a lot of milage from that "inventive" shot. They have showed it several times, and it is a highlight when they do a post game analysis.
I thought Odom did a great job of passing the ball...almost too good as his teammates weren't always ready for the pass. ISU missed a lot of bunnies, just like my Aces did all year...really hurts, especially when no fouls are called. I did think the calls were one-sided for Syracuse, but that didn't really cost the Sycamores the game. The offense just wasn't there tonight. Good effort...it was just too difficult against those huge inside players from Syracuse.
good effort trees, one or 2 buckets away from getting the cuse to panic a little and things could have gotten more interesting. odum reminds me of ameneker? from DU a few years ago, but after he drank about 8 diet cokes, a little wired up and sped up last night, but very creative.
