The MVC did bend the rules for ISUR with this situation. Maybe it pays off for you or maybe it bites you in the ass.

Just because Teddy doesn't have his daddy on coaching staff? Either you have rules and standards or you do not. At this point the rules are getting to be complete b.s.

What happens if Illinois State wins the 8-9 game in St. Louis in March? Does he have to sit out the Friday game then?

Doug did not break any rules. He asked for and was granted a release. Not sure about Anthony.

Teddy, though, either he deserved a release and WSU did not grant it, or he did not deserve a release and should have to sit out. If he deserved a release, then shame on WSU. My guess though is he saw a better opportunity elsewhere and is breaking his promise. The other 8 schools should not be punished for his selfishness.

Who gets to decide, whether he deserves a release?

Personally, I do not care either way.

I am glad he is not a Shocker. He has a character flaw as big as all outdoors.

Is that why he was admitted to Illinois State?

No, I think it's because he is a talented athlete. It's all up to Teddy where it goes from here.

Hwkins couldn't get eligible out of HS. then hge couldn't get eliogible by going to a prep school where the purpose of his enrollment was to get eligible.

So, instead of taking HS classes, or prep school classes to get eligible, he's going to be taking classes at IlSU to get eligible?

Questions are raised when a University with high academic standards has an athlete with demonstrated low academic standards getting good grades.

That, my friend, is what we call Division I athletics.
