If you're reading the same one I'm reading (the newest one), a Marquette sources says it's X/Butler/Dayton and a Providence source says it's X/Butler/Creighton.

How does anyone have faith in Doug Elgin? :huh:

Same guy who mismanaged the bracket busters for years :roll:

Elgin said on the radio that the MVC had done lots of research into what schools to add so I would expect we move quickly if Creighton departs.

USA today reporting the new league will announce a July 1 2014 start.

Next year could make for a lot of interesting road trips for Creighton.

Do you really think road trips could get any more hostile for Creighton? We already bring out the biggest crowds and most opposing students at most every venue. We've been thru:

(1) The most wound up, vile SIU students at the height of the I H8 CR8TON and "Korver Swallows" days, which, as a special touch, included heckling of our players' parents;

(2) The perennial sold out bunch of crazy, loud mouthed, 35 year old students flashing obscene finger gestures, that fill the student section at Koch Arena;

(3) Yearly beratement from the smart, but potty mouthed Drake students that don't even show up for other games;

(4) The overwhelming "traitor" chants lodged at Anthony Tolliver by MSU fans;

(5) Peltings by people throwing 'Free mini-basketballs" at our players in Normal;

(6) Every single variation on the "Who's Your Daddy" chant, various incest inspired chants and other unmentionable, absolutely horrifically hate-filled obscenities by the pasty white, horribly uncoordinated interluders at Cedar Falls that only trade in their Iowa sweatshirts when Dougie and MAc come to town.

How can next year's roadies get any worse? Does any other team have to put up with what we put up with on every roadie already? I doubt it!

Fortunately for the rust of us peons, Omaha is always just an absolutely pleasant and gracious host to visiting teams. There are never, ever any issues with their knowledgeable, loyal, and great fans.

On top of that, the rest of us are also so incredibly lucky that we never have to face any hostility in any road venue in this conference. Thankfully, only Creighton has to deal with that type of stuff. In fact, I would suggest that they should be awarded extra bonus points for any road win that they are able to achieve, because of the extenuating and unique to Creighton circumstances that they face on the road in this conference.

I seem to remember Tulsa's last season being fairly uneventful. They had just lost Tubby to Georgia the previous season.

I have only been treated poorly at 1 of the 6 MVC venues. My trip to Omaha was without a doubt the worst basketball experience of my life. Last year I had things thrown at my family, was yelled at by drunken students, and my family was cursed at while leaving. Nothing like having an adult yell at a family with a 5 yr old girl. When I describe to my daughter making bad choices, I remind her of our trip to Omaha. Not a reflection of the entire fan base, but still very low class students.

WSU being sold out and having a full student section happens at every home game, not just against Creighton, so please get off your high horse.

Also, like valleychamp said, do you really think everything goes perfect and cute in Omaha? And do you really think Creighton is the only team in the Valley that gets treated like they do in an opposing venue? It happens to most, if not all teams. The theme is the opposition gets the treatment. That includes more than just the prestigious Creighton basketball team.

At least other Valley venues have somewhat full student sections. Outside of the hickish overall-wearing fruitcakes, there isn't much to say for the Creighton student section.

WCC: 1
Atlantic Ten: 1
MWC: 1
Big East: 1
