What is interesting about this whole discussion----not hearing much from very many WSU folks. Almost think they would not want to investigate leaving the MVC. After all, they are the Big Fish in the small pond, dominating the MVC at minimal risk, getting them a decent set of stats, almost 100% guarantee of a NCAA bid--automatic or at-large. IT'S GOOD TO BE THE KING!!!

What are you talking about? Most of the responses are from WSU fans.

Dude, WSU fans want out! The problem is finding a place to go, not in deciding if they want to go!

And, BTW, the league was essentially a two team league way before Turgeon started winning at WSU. The difference is that it was Creighton and SIU in those days. Also, once Turgeon left, WSU went into the abyss for a few years. I think you do not have a very good grasp of recent MVC history at all as Drake, UNI and MSU all won titles in that same time frame.

SIU has won or tied for the most regular season crowns (5) since 1996-97 and Creighton won the most MVC tournaments (8) since that season, but there has been some parity. The only school that has not won or tied for a regular season title since 1996-97 is Bradley. The only schools that have not won the MVC tournament since that season are Bradley, Missouri State and Wichita State

Sorry about not IDing a lot of posters based on their monikers. Would have thought JJAlum woud be a hard core Creighton---is not Creighton the Jays. Can understand who shockheart is, same with Wufan, plus several others with ID poster monikers. Some WSU posters I would not claim if I was a diehard WSU supporter.

I can understand and accept all you said. Moved back to the mid west in1985 after being gone a long, long ways off for 20++ years. When we did come back got attached to KU and Big 8 BB, then BIG 12 BB. But, do remember some MVC history in the post 1985 period. Remember SMSU beating Clemson in the 1988 NCAA. Remember UNI beating KU. Remember some good runs by SIU. I think I remember ILL State beating KU. Do not remember WSU beating KU in that 15 year period late 80s to early 2000s---but it might of happened. So, that's old history and tomorrow is today.

Also understand there is limited places WSU can go to. But, with your recent success and market standing I believe I would seriously be looking and talking to the WSU AD and administrators. You may have already waited too long--and became too successful. Have a good day!

SIU had a period of dominance and fell. WSU fans have a lot to be proud of but I'm sure most of them realize it won't last forever. WSU dominance simply isn't anything to worry about. At least not long term.

And no I didn't play b-ball at the college level. You have me mixed up with someone else.

Not you. Without going back and rereading 2 or 3 weeks of posts I think it was WuFan who tried to blow smoke that he was an ex-NAIA BBer, or some other NAIA sport. When he is challenged he goes and hides and pops up with name calling and slander---but he is just like the other 4 or 5 big time posters on this forum.

You are way off base regarding Wufan. He is one of the most reasonable and level headed posters on here. And I seriously doubt he is hiding. He's probably chosen to ignore you.

OK---except he sinks to name calling and slander---what he thinks is just age related comedy!! Not funny.

Euthanize the guy or the account? I'm not taking a position on what the right answer is, but I'd like for the moderator to have clear instructions.
